Leg Ulcer Service

The service provides holistic assessment and treatment of patients with leg ulceration in the community. Leg Ulcer Specialist Nurses provide care within Leg Ulcer Clinics across the locality and patients must be able to attend clinic to access care.

The service is appointment based and a referral must be received to access the service. The service consists of Registered Nurses who have undergone extensive training in leg ulcer management including treatment, prevention and associated complications.

Following assessment a plan of care will be developed with the patient. Specialist treatment will be continued to be provided within leg ulcer clinics.

Please ask for a referral from your GP, Practice Nurses, Hospitals and Other Community Health Services.
