Community health services
We have pharmacy staff based at St Margaret’s Hospital, Epping and Rochford Hospital. Medicines are supplied within South East Essex and West Essex by the pharmacy department at Chelford Court.
If you need to be admitted to one of our wards or units, it is important that you bring all of the medicines that you are currently taking with you if you possibly can. This allows the clinical team to know exactly what you are taking and will help to avoid any delay in you receiving medicines you need.
To help you make informed decisions about medicines, the NHS website includes information about all medicines, including those that are used in the treatment of mental health problems. This includes information about side effects, comparison of medicines used for various conditions.
Queries about medicines
If you have any questions about your medicines, it is usually best to discuss them with the pharmacists who supplied them to you. If you are a patient under our care, you should initially contact your healthcare professional, care coordinator or key worker who will be able to help you and can put you in contact with a clinical pharmacist if needed. Alternatively, for general queries, you can contact us by e-mail at epunft.askpharmacy@nhs.net. This route should not be used for anything that requires an urgent response.
