Compliance and Assurance

We are regularly assessed to ensure we comply with essential standards of quality and safety.

These assessments are carried out by the Care Quality Commission and NHS Improvement.

Care Quality Commission

The Trust is assessed periodically to ensure that we are provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.

The Trust is monitored, inspected and regulated as a services by the Care Quality Commission on quality standards and on a range of performance indicators.

NHS Improvement

As a Foundation Trust, EPUT is also regulated by NHS Improvement.

In line with NHS Improvement guidance, our Board of Directors must carry out a self-assessment each year in order to meet the conditions of the Trust’s license.
