Individual Placement and Support Primary Care (IPSPC)

We support people who have experienced mental illness to find employment at a pace that works for them.

We will work with you to find paid work and stay in work by using the Diagram sharing the different ways the team can help people find a jobIndividual Placement and Support (IPS) model. Helping you to decide what type of work will suit your interests, skills & experiences and your individual support needs. We will do this by putting together an action plan which may include:

  • Benefits advice or signposting to relevant service.
  • Contacting an employer on your behalf.
  • CV writing and application forms.
  • Deciding when, how and if to disclose your mental ill health.
  • Interview preparation.
  • Job searching.
  • On-going support once you are in work.
  • Time limited work taster or work experience.

Our Employment Specialists cover the following locations:

Mid Essex: Chelmsford, Braintree,Witham, Maldon, Halstead.
North East Essex: Colchester, Clacton, Harwich.
West Essex: Harlow, Epping, Loughton, Uttlesford.
South West Essex: Basildon, Brentwood.
South East Essex: Rayleigh,Canvey Island, Castlepoint, Rochford.

How to be referred to us

If you are thinking about finding full or part-time work, or would like more information around employment you can ask to be referred to your local Employment Specialist by a member of your Primary Care Network team.

You can self-refer by emailing epunft.ipsinprimarycare@nhs.net if you live in mid or north Essex.

Email epunft.refer@nhs.net if you live in south or west Essex.
